To return my iPad Pro 10.5 inch 512 GB for a iPad Pro 12.9 inch 512 GB or not ? Today is the last day I have. Yes I did go to Best Buy to try the iPad Pro 12.9 inch but still can't decide if I need the larger size or not. It is nice but kinda heavy.

The good news is my local Apple store at least has the iPad Pro 12.9 inch 512 GB in stock!

I am totally in the same boat as you, well with a few more days to decide. Using affinity photo to do some pretty intense edits on a picture the other day made me want the larger screen. decisons decisions.

BTW do you know if the return window is 14 days total or does it end on the 14th day ?

It's hard to judge until you try it.

12.9" as my main proved completely impractical for my usage, using it a lot on the go and predominantly in portrait (bar video of course). Far too big and cumbersome in the environments I use it a lot.

My base model 1st gen 12.9" is sticking around though, love it for comics and manga at home.

Pleasantly surprised how much the 10.5" is better than the 9.7" for comics and manga, though obviously not as good as the 12.9" for same purpose.

I wish I could try comics and videos at Best Buy on a iPad Pro 12.9 inch (2nd generation)

I tried and I tried to love the 12.9 but it's just not for me. I tend to one-hand the iPad quite a bit and the 10.5 is much better suited for that.

There's nothing to try. Comics and videos look glorious on the 12.9 Pro. A questions to ask yourself is, "how often will I take the 12.9 Pro on-the-go?" and "What are currently the largest things I take with me?"

The 12.9 Pro is approximately the size of A4 paper and exactly the size of a letter size notepad. If you carry something similar to that then the 12.9 Pro won't be an issue. But if you are used to taking small items, like the iPad Mini, then the 12.9 Pro will indeed be too large.

Did you buy if from Best Buy? If so, they have a 15-day return policy -- one more day to decide.

Ask yourself are you generally content with the 10.5 iPad. If so, then I would suggest just keeping it, unless you really have a desire for the larger 12.9 iPad. It comes down to a complete size factor and if you can appreciate a larger display.

You need to decide what your main requirements are. When I chose the 12.9 over the 9.7 a year ago it was simple: to me, the 9.7 was just too small to make it usable as a productivity device. Sure, the 12.9 is larger & heavier, but not so much so that it becomes unwieldy and impractical.

Think clearly about your use case and the answer will be there. For example:
do you value screen real estate or portability? Will you use it to type with on-screen or external keyboard? What tasks will you use it for?

There must be something you don't like or that is driving you towards the bigger display. HHMMM, maybe it is just as easy as that.

If it is just that you are curious about using the bigger one, I would forget about it if you were happy using the 10.5.

Do it before it is too late! Once you get 12.9 iPP you might get another 14 days window time. :)

I carry my 12.9 pro everywhere. I use it in bed, I take it with me to work everyday. I find no issues using it anywhere or in any circumstance. Then again, I am 6'3" and have huge hands etc, but still....
I'm 5'4" with small arms and still find the 12.9 Pro very light and portable I mean compared to the alternative which would be a MacBook Pro, I can simply not achieve productivity on the smaller iPad screens. Honestly wouldn't mind if the iPad Pro was even a tad larger. Give me a $999 14 or 15 inch iPad Pro please

Doubt it. You're going to be paying a lot more than $999.00 for a 14/15" iPad. The base model 12.9 iPad now is currently $800.00. Cost of materials incorporating into a larger display would cost significantly higher than that price.
