Hey everyone,

I was an early adopter for the Apple Watch and got my 42mm Space Grey on launch day back in 2015. I loved it and wore it almost every day for these past 5 years. I decided it was time to upgrade since it was pretty slow so I ordered the 44mm Space Grey Cellular model and the Surf Blue band and wow! My new watch is much faster and I really like the almost edge to edge display! Any tips for WatchOS 6 and the S5 that I should know about? The S0 only went up to WatchOS 4 so I’ve got some catching up to do!

I had a series 2 and jumped to the 4 which is much faster as the series 2 was sluggish opening apps such as workout which I do not experience on the 4.

I went from Series 0 to Series 4, and one thing I recommend that you do is, make full use of all the features you couldn't use on your Series 0 as it was so slow!

  • Use Siri more often (just raise to talk!)
  • Try to be more active
  • Breathe when it asks you to
  • Install apps that will be useful to you
  • Turn on Fall Detection
  • Turn on Noise notifications
  • Sync music to it and listen using bluetooth headphones! (the space on the S0 was tiny!)
Enjoy it!

Yes! Siri was a nightmare on the S0 and I was shocked that Siri actually speaks now lol. Also I've noticed I can actually use 3rd party apps without pulling my hair out.

Space Grey and Surf Blue is an attractive combination.

I’m still using a series 0 and so there are certain things that are just too slow to even attempt doing. But I still like it.

Running the workout app would be one of them at leas it was on my Series 2 before I upgraded.

Prior to be locked down for the past few weeks, I was using the Workout app successfully at a gym three times a week (cycling & elliptical trainer) and weights using SmartGym app. The only issue was my battery wouldn’t make it through the day on a gym day so I’d have to charge for a while during the day.

My series 2 would run but it was sluggish in comparison to my current series 4.

Had to send in my S4 for AC+ cracked screen repair.. has S2 sitting around, so had to use it for a couple weeks. Awful, slow, laggy. I’ve since sold that S2
