got my readynas Duo with dual 1tb drives, in a basic mode up and running.

I would like to look at network cameras and POE. I don't want to manage a switch cause I am a rock at this stuff-is there a gigabit unmanaged switch with POE? Oh yea, under $300?

    OR

is it possible or too stupid to have a managed switch before/after an unmanaged switch? so a PoE switch with about 4 outlets that were 10/100 could still exist on a network that the other devices were using the gigabit services.....

Ok found lots of unmanaged 10/100 PoE switches that I can hook some cameras too.
If I plug a 10/100 PoE switch down stream off an unmanaged gigabit switch will it affect/effect the system performance? I think this would be a good solution although it adds an additional router.

    Any answers out there......
