All,

I am running Tiger on a Macbook Pro. On occasion when I open my lid, my pointer will stutter when I drag my pointer. It reminds me of using something like radmin for windows over a network and when I move my pointer, it isn't smooth. It gets annoying fast so I have to reboot to fix the problem. It is happening now. It seems like it happens when I close the lid and open it back up about 2 seconds later. Sometimes I remember something I meant to do right as I close my lid so in a knee-jerk reaction, I open it right back up.

Anyone know of anyways to solve the problem without rebooting? I am on the latest patch levels.

I find sometimes the pointer (using an Apple wireless mouse) gets very jumpy or jerky. I'll be going to the red X for example and at the last second it jumps a half-inch away, quite annoying, I figured it might be the bluetooth?

Are you using a mouse or trackpad?

I used to get it on my MacBook Pro when I had Tiger on it (to reminisce before I popped in the upgrade DVD). It was fixed after I updated to 10.4.11 and has never been an issue in 10.5.x.

Is your MacBook Pro fully updated? It would be helpful to know what mouse you're using or whether you use the TrackPad.
