The June Crew

Slackers unite. Who ordered and has an estimated June ship date? I ordered the SS with black sport band on 4/10.

I was on the fence when pre-orders started and changed my mind on the 10th. I don't mind a wait.

Here's hoping we get it a bit sooner than expected!

I had a original delivery date in 4/24-5/8, but after seeing my watch combo in person, I didn't like it and ordered something that I liked a lot better, now I'm waiting til June as well.
 
Like so many others, I pre-ordered one model and then changed my mind after my try on. Luckily both orders said they'd ship in June so no worries. I'm just glad I changed! I'm much happier with the space grey Sport over the Silver.
 
Ordered 38mm sport with white band for the wife and 42mm SG Sport for me. Received confirmation email at 3:08 for 4/24-5/8 for hers and 5/27 for mine until we went to the Crabtree store to try out - liked the SS/black sport band better and ordered that to replace SG Sport with a June delivery thus losing my place in the line.

New gadgets usually do motivate me to work out (Cardio). I do some strength training and was hoping to start running again just for the pleasure of seeing my run stats show up on the watch :) as I understand watch is not ready yet for strength training.

Now it's a wait game and I think I may have the momentum already for the much needed motivation. So just going to maintain it by coming here often reading all your thoughts/ideas/rants/excitement until I get mine.

The sad part is I have a planned vacation coming up from June second week on. So hopefully I receive mine before then or its a cancel and reorder again.

Oh well
 
Ordered two watches as I couldn't decide which one to get:

1) 42 mm Watch Sport with white band - June delivery
2) 42 mm Watch SS with white band - May 13 -26 delivery

These were ordered on April 10 around 6:15am EDT.

Leaning towards the Sport due to the price. IMHO, the SS Watch is just way overpriced at $880 CAD tax in.

I tried on both at the Apple Store and the SS looks pretty nice compared to the Aluminum but just can't justify spending that much money on a 1st gen watch. Decisions...decisions.

Me neither. I went for the SG Sport. I'll upgrade next year maybe.
 
Apple Watch in Store in June

Since this announcement broke (about the watch being available in store in June) has anyone changed their minds about waiting for their June delivery? Or changed their mind and pick it up in the store?

There's no point in "changing your mind to pick it up in the store". No store will have it for the foreseeable future, until, maybe June. However, if I the ones I want pop up at the store before mine is shipped, I'll definitely grab them.
 
Ordered a 38mm space grey sport on 4/15. Yeah I know I am late to the game... After initially being skeptical about the watch I visited a store on the 12th to try out the new macbook. Ended up playing with the watch for about an hour and had a try on session as well. I left that store ready to preorder. I am hoping that we can get our watches earlier then June.. Preferably around mid to late May.
 
I should have ordered two watches. I ordered Green Sport Band (with the delivery date between 4/24/15 - 5/8/15). After trying many different bands at the store, I am in for SS version. The rep told me I had to cancel my order and placed a new order for SS. I guess I will keep the Sport till June when my SS arrives.

Question. Will they hold funds until June?? Or does it drop off after so many days and then upon shipment they recharge. Just wondering how that works.

What do you mean? There's no hold funds. I haven't gotten charged for the watch. When it ships it charges the card or the payment method you preordered with. I bought the watch with AppleCare. They already charged me the $50 for the AppleCare, the rest will get charged when it ships or when it's available to ship.
 
Just joined macrumors today. Been reading along for a while, but finally decided to jump in.

I ordered a 38mm white sport on the 10th. Completely forgot to stay up to preorder so I was super late. Got a June delivery. After trying them on I switched to a 48mm on the 15th. Still a June delivery. I'm biding my time being entertained by everyone freaking out on the 4/24-5/8 delivery thread.

And as with everyone else, I'm holding out some hope that for some odd reason it will magically show up at my door way sooner than expected.
 
I'm in the June deliveries also. Was wavering between ss or aluminum. Finally called Apple and decided to downgrade to the Sport. Mainly cause I can't justify spending to much for what amounts to a toy for me. Especially the first version of it. So I will get the cheapo version, and if they come out with one next year. I may upgrade to a nicer one at that time.

But the price for my wavering, was canceling my first order. And getting a June date for the second one.
 
Got up on 4/10 @ 2AM CST and ordered a 38 sport SG with delivery for May 13-29 after my order didn't make it through till 2:05AM. The other day I decided I really want 42 so I cancelled that order and placed an order for it and now I'm in the June batch. I don't think we'll have to wait till June, but I'm thinking moreso like mid-May maybe end of May. I'm patiently waiting tho.
 
Mine is for June, but that doesn't stop me from being crazy enough to check my order daily to see if it has moved up.
 
I had preordered the 42mm SS w/Milanese loop just the second the App opened on 4/10 and received a confirmation email @ 3:03am eastern 4/24-5/8 shipping. After all my reading and seeing pictures of actual people wearing the loop band I decided to cancel the preorder 2 days later on 4/12. The week went by and I realized all my current watches are link bands so finally on 4/18 I placed an order for the 42mm SS link with ambiguous June shipping. This has been the craziest launch I've ever been through #
 
I'm not on the fence. I want to buy one now but no money! Anyone want to do a donation fund for me :)
But I'm gonna be at the Apple Store in Keystone as Saturday to exchange my phone out (face starting to come out of chassis), so I'm gonna sign up for a fitting just to see one in Person.

However when I look at Saturday on the Apple stores schedule there are no slots. In fact no slots past Thursday. But tons of slots for today, Tomorrow and Tues. what gives? Can you really on reserve a spot 2 days early?
