Just wanted to give ya'll a heads up, when restoring iPhone and setting up as "new iPhone", it also completely restarts Apple Watch, including all your previous activity and achievements. For some reason I thought it was stored in the watch itself. The only reason I did a full restore was because I had 16 freaking gigs of "other" on my phone! Again just giving ya'll a heads up in case someone wants to do a full restore. Hopefully they'll add an iCloud backup for Watch.

When you unpair the watch, it backs up to the phone. So you'll always lose watch data when you set a phone up new. It would be nice if the watch could backup to iCloud directly though.

Agreed, I was so close to a perfect month. The watch knew I got it, but it wouldn't sync to the phone. I ended up having to unpair and reset both watch and phone. Now I'm starting over as though I have a brand new watch. At least everything is responding and syncing properly now.

Achievements typically won't sync to the phone until the next day (at midnight). Has been that way since my girlfriend and I both got our watches. As long as you get the notification on the watch it will eventually show up on the activity app. I've seen 12 hour delays from what's on the watch to what's in the activity app, but it will all eventually sync up.

At least have a toggle switch in the iCloud settings, like they have for contacts, mail, calendar, reminders, etc. Have one just for Watch that'll include activities and watch faces

Everyone also needs to remember to sync your health data it has to be an encrypted backup on iTunes for your phone. If you do not check the encrypted data box it will not back up your health data.

Enjoy.

My phone wasn't updating at all for a day and a half... No calories, excercise or stand rings. I was also having trouble getting apps to open on the watch...I had a virtual pet that died because I couldn't feed him for 2 days... Other apps (weather, the score) would tell me to open the app one the phone to view. There is definately a delay, I 've seen it where the rings wouldn't update right away but the achievements were there so I know they were synching in the background.
