so i was completely sold on the iskin soho sleeve but as i was ordering it it said its not compatible with the unibody design (09/10).
Is anyone actually using this sleeve and that too on a unibody macbook pro? if so does it fit ok?
thanks

I just bought a speck satin seethru off of amazon. Just installed it 5 min ago. I'm liking it so far. i will also have it in a sleeve when its in my book bag. Mines from 8 years ago and doesn't have a dedicated laptop section like the new ones.

Also for those of you not getting a speck case because of the charger problem, it is apparently fixed as I did not have to mod mine at all and it is sitting in the correct way now. I can post pics if anyone wants them.

Yes please post pics of your Speck Case. I was holding off on it until they filed the charger fitment issue. Thanks!

Taken with my iPhone 3GS so sorry if they are crappy.

It does look like it still bumps a little but definitely not pushing up like it was before. And you can see that it does charge the computer when plugged in the correct way.

Wow this is the third time asking the same question:

What is the difference between the Incase regular and plus model neoprene sleeve?

I do not think this simple question warrants another thread spefically for it but hope some1 answers this time.

from what i've read. it seems the plus model has been improved so that the zipper does not come in contact with the macbook and therefore gets rid of the scratching. I have no idea if there are any other changes.

The Tucano Stiles used to be sold at the Apple Retail Store. It is an awesome laptop brief. When I find something I really like, I usually buy two. I recently ordered a second one which is now discounted on one site.

I've a tucano second skin, really pleased with it. The outside is soft, the inside is neoprene. There's a helpful inch deep lip which keeps the mbp snugly in place and stops the lid opening, dust getting in from the zip and the zip scratching the case :)

The cloth that comes with it is handy too for keeping dust from the keyboard off the screen.

My MBP will wear Betseyville by Betsey Johnson :)

thanks but damn shipping to canada is 80ish dollar!!! lol

even the apple store dont carry the 15 inch one, going to get it from the link i posted before. Too bad they only have gray color but that will have to do.
btw it say 15 inch screen, is it the same as 15.4?

I got this one, It's something between a Sleeve and a proper Laptop bag, It's more robust than those sleeves that looks like a sock but smaller and lighter than those huge laptop bags, and it's designed for the MacBook Pro, It's made by Golla

How are you getting on with the golla clan?
Just got my MacBook pro 15" and quite like the look of it on play.com

Shouldn't do. You have to remember that the MBP will produce alot less heat when in sleep mode. There have been times i've actually had mine on sleep for days in the incase neoprene sleeve and it has been cold to the touch immediately after taking it out.

You should be fine.

For those considering the incase neoprene sleeve I must point out that it has a 'lip' that covers all edges of the MBP so it does not come into contact with the zipper, even when inserting/removing from the case.

Pic attached to illustrate:

im looking for a sleeve that fits my macbook pro 13 that has a speck see-thru satin installed. so that i can just throw it in any backpack

From the :apple: site "The protective interior border built into the Neoprene Sleeve Plus provides added structure that further safeguards the periphery of your MacBook Pro."

I didn't even realize there were two Neoprene sleeves. Mine looks just like Orbane's does and I've never had a scratch on either my orignal MB or my new 13" MBP. Although mine does not fit very snug on my MBP. It was too snug on my old MB, so I never zipped it since it always rode in another bag. When it's on my MBP it seems to have about 1/4 inch of room on top and fits snug on the sides. Not sure if this is because it's thinner than the MB by just a hair or what is causing it. Either way, I'm fine with just the sleeve 99% of the time.
