Hey guys, need yours help.
I Bought last week the printer XEROX B215 and have managed to set up WiFi connection and downloaded/installed the Monterey driver but still can’t print anything except .txt files. Any attempt to print PDFs, emails etc just prints a random string of symbols at the top of multiple pages. No error messages, just lots of pages with a line or 3 of garbage and lots of empty space. The same files print fine from My iPhone over AirPrint, or from my other PC. Any Help?!

Sounds like a PostScript interpreter error. IIRC, you get the error when you try to use a printer that is set for postscript to print a non-Postscript document -- or something like that. Your printer mis-interprets a document that does NOT have postscript code, as a postscript documet, and won't print the text. I think you have to go into the printer settings, and turn off postscript, so the printer does not attempt ot use postscript.
(it's been a few years since I used to do this all the time, so I might have the sequence backwards - maybe you have to make sure the Postscript is turned OFF, or turned ON, don't recall now... But, I think you should toggle anypostscript setting that you find to the opposite --- that should do the trick.

I recently had printing issues that occurred after migrating from my2015 27" iMac to the Mac Studio. I reinstalled the printer drivers, tried different settings etc., but the problem persisted. I was able to print text, but color printing was a mess. My issue was resolved when I called Apple support and the tech person had me delete the printer, shut the printer down, restart in Safe Mode, and rebuild the printer drivers from there. That resolved the issue. I am not sure if this relates to whats happening your printing, but I thought it worth mentioning. Good luck and I hope you get your problem resolved.

Hi

I upgraded my mac last year and now run Monterey. Printing photos in photoshop Creative cloud 23.4.2 ..I can no longer find paper source in print menu. Downloaded driver for my new epson SCP900. This printer has 3 options for paper feed. While I can set them on the printer itself eg roll paper..I get a paper feed error message when i go to print, because i cannot select paper source in my print menu. I believe the mac printer driver will over-ride the settings on the printer itself. Did not have this problem on my old large format printer running on previous OSX. Could always select paper source. Not using airprint as it limits print options with this printer.

advice appreciated
