Just Bought A Mini!

My Mac died last week, so I went out tonight and picked up the baseline mac mini. It's pretty damn neat. the 2gb is not a big deal, will upgrade to 8gb eventually (crucial has a deal for 5o bucks!).

Anything I should know about the computer now that I have it in my hands?

Since you're a previous Mac owner, the answer is no.

It's a pretty simple computer, basically a headless 13" MacBook.

Grats! I liked my mini I had before I got my iMac. I might eventually get the server model when I am ready to get serious about my home network. Haha.

I picked up the same model you have 2 weeks ago. Put 8 gigs of Crucial memory in and it's so much faster than with just 2. The difference is amazing!

I also got 2.3ghz mini from frys on the 23rd july. Got 8gb PNY ram at bestbuy 45 dollars. Hardly ever go below half.

they're great little machines and they really shine as media tools.
