Lucky! The only unfortunate thing between the Quad and it's price is you can get a 2006 Mac Pro in the same ballpark. But I still want to own a G5 Quad!

I too just got a Quad, the machine I had been after for years. The wait was worth it though: two years of going to university surplus sales landed me one for $60.

I have kinda become a PPC freak lately and having an Intel Mac pro is far from the same thing as Power mac G5.
It is actually my second G5 i have a double 2,0 Ghz as well, so the new one is going to be for Leopard/Linux and the old for MorphOS.

It is so nice to have the best power beast of all PPC machines.
Now i only need a PPC laptop.

I'd go for the PowerBook G4 Aluminum. Amazing machine, especially the very last Dual-Layer Superdrive, High Resolution Screen (DLHR) model with the the 1.67GHz G4. I hope to get mine up and running sometime this coming week.

Congrats on the Quad G5! Its a beast of a machine!

I can vouch for both the 12" iBook and PowerBook G4's - they're absolutely wonderful little portable machines for light work. :)
