Just bought an External HD to use with MBA

I'm in same situation

I also want to Backup the OS which is SnowLeopard. I heard of mirroring, I guess that's what I'll have to do to my OS?
Anyone have thoughts on this?
I don't mean to hijack the thread, 😀
