Is it a common occurance for the headphone jack to be clogged with lint and stop working? I don't want my iphone to be damaged because I didn't buy a good enough case. thanks for the help.

Kyotoma macrumors 68000 Apr 11, 2011 #2 Unless your pants pockets are lined with fleece, I doubt you'll have an issue. It would take a lot of lint plus a lack of cleaning for it to become an issue.

L libertysat macrumors 6502 Apr 11, 2011 #4 I do not use my headphone port for anything besides my Square merchant account gizmo (excellent service btw) In my work I get into dirty situations often and am concerned about crap getting in there I took one of the foam ear plugs for noise protection and cut a slice off Then rolled it tight and slid into port leaving just enough to pull out Function over form for me...
