I am deciding if I should return my best buy macbook pro 15 inch that I just bought last week. There was a deal for 200$ off and another 10% coupon. It brought it down to 1600ish before taxes. Loving the real screen estate but debating if I should get the newly refreshed 13 inch rmbp with the longer battery and the new tech? I'll mainly use this as a main notebook for my graduate program. Advice? Im leaning towards to just keeping the 15inch, but not sure if I'll have buyers remorse.

I had a 13" MBP in 2011 and just upgraded to the 15" rMBP 2014 can't be happier i really think it just up to you if you want a bigger screen or not. I personally love it

I'd only return it if the size bothers you. I'm happy with my 15" Haswell rMBP but I'm never buying another 15" MacBook.

I returned my 15" and bought the previous 13"..

This is the first time I chose a 13 over a 15 - and I think the 13 this release is very underrated.

Do you actually use the quad core? In the number of years I've owned a quad, I've only got use of it in converting files,,even for audio recording, I think it was severely underused for my needs. The 13" handles Logic Pro very well, so I don't see a need for it with that.

16 gigs is nice, but I've never felt 8 gigs was a bottle neck.

I sold my iPad, so portability is my number one concern - and having used both - the 13 wins hands down.

I bought a nice slipcase for it, and in comparison to the 15 in a slipcase - it's so much easier to carry!

I price matched the 13 256 gigs with bhpphoto ..it was $1399 and best buy matched it. The only update I was interested in was the increase in battery life, but I already get 10 hours with it so it's not a main concern. Id rather the $100 off..
