Please, before you install Vista on it; give OSX a try! I was a long-time Windows user and never thought I'd like OSX that much. I installed Windows on my MBP via VMWare, and almost never use it.

They're assembled in China. Since you swapped out a part (stock 320gb 5400 for 7200 250) they're most likely just having it done at the assembly line instead of at their Cali location.

This will be my first apple product besides the ipod and I definitly want to learn about the Leopard operating systems.

Na, 5.0 is not it. I think the highest is either 7 or 8 because when I installed Vista, I got 5.2
