That is awesome. I have a base model M1 MacBook Air and it's fantastic. Handles everything I throw at it (heavy admin, Keynote files 100s of MB in size, Pixelmator/Affinity image editing).

I also have a Mac mini (M2, 16 GB RAM, massive hard drive) that I use as my daily driver, but if my M1 had a big hard drive I could easily use it in clamshell mode with an external monitor.

I think people on these forums generally over-estimate how much power they need. The M chips really are superb, and even the 'slow' ones are great for most people.
 
If the M4 Mac Mini turns out to support 2 5k2k displays at 120hz, I will likely get that instead of a Studio. I really think proper display support is what turns off a lot of people from the Mini. At least it is better than what the M1 had.
