i spent $500 on this crap it keeps crashing my machine. not to mention Apple charged me $45 in shipping and i didn't even get any :apple: stickers!

I've done this like 5 times. I'll run the Airport utility and the whole computer (mouse cursor and all) freezez. So then I restart and reset the PPrma, run disk utility and it does it again.

I've got a PB g4 17-in 1.5 Ghz.
Running Leopard (all software updated)
permissions repaired.

SCREW YOU STEVE, I WANTA MY STICKERS!!!:mad::mad:

I had a similar problem - I found that if you close all other apps, and just run Airport Utility and give it a few minutes to itself, it'll start working fine. In my case, it was checking for updates (don't know why it kept crashing though). Once it's done this once, you can turn it off in Preferences.

Hope this helps!

ok, it's gotten worse... significantly worse...

Firstly, I'll send you some stickers if you're that bothered about them! :)

Have you tried running the Aiport Utility without the time capsule plugged in, then check for software/firmware updates.

If I remember it says to install the airport utility thing before plugging in the TimeCapsule. Maybe you plugged it in first?

Either way it looks bad. I would take it back.
