I just broke my late 2013 rMBP 13" display...this is what it looks like:

Does anyone know how much it costs to get replaced/repaired in an Apple Store? How long does it take?

What a timing...:(

That is a bummer. I would call your nearest Apple Store or repair center to see what, they say about costs. Hope they can help you out.

You can buy the display from eBay for $230 and replace it yourself by following instructions from iFixit.

time to buy a new one!

Great idea /sarcasm

Why spend $1499 buying a new laptop when the replacement display costs $230?

Curious to know how you broke it?

Well, this is embarrassing...I usually watch movies on it in my bed. I fell asleep and it fell off the bed. It happened to me hundreds of times before, but I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later...

That's not embarrassing. It happens. It broke. Lesson learned. Those hundreds of times finally caught up.
