Sorry to hear about your phone. I've been using my iphone 4 with a case since day one and I don't have any scratches or anything. Last week I was changing cases and noticed a big ass crack on the front of the screen near the bottom. Not really noticeable enough for me to have it replaced by apple or file an insurance claim. Such is life I guess

I would imagine they'd charge you the same price they would for anyone else. Full price.

Why should your negligence rate a special discount? This is just as bad as a friend of mine who put his iphone in his back pocket, sits on the phone, bends the frame and is ticked at Apple because it's broken. That's just stupid. It's not Apple's fault you don't take care of your property.

Wait are you serious?

The replacement price of $200 is set by Apple themselves, genius.

Where did I say that I expected that? I simply asked how much replacements were and then if front glasses were a different price.

Damn did you have a bad day or something.

I guess.... No phone or expensive tech product should break from one drop though.

Is there a tech product that won't break from one drop? Any tech product will break if dropped at just the wrong angle or height.

I believe they charge just £25 or something to replace the back glass (correct me if I'm wrong) so if its only the back that's damaged, you're in luck.

They have just charged me £25 to replace the rear cover/glass pannel. Woop! Woop!

Mate, the guys at the Apple Store at Trafford Centre rock. You would not believe the condition of a white iPhone 3GS I took in. I was ready to fork out the ££ to have it sorted but they gave me a refurb'd one. It is, to all intents and purposes, brand new. Came with all the screen/back stickers etc. Go and see them, I dont think you'll be disappointed. The only problem is getting an appointment there as that temporary store is tiny!
