I tried to install Ubuntu on partition I made on my Windows XP Hard drive. Everything worked fine and smoothly. The problem was I somehow created two Ubuntu Boot up and Windows XP Boot up would boot to Ubuntu. From Ubuntu I can then choose to boot to windows xp. I askled for help but no one knew how to resolve it. I decided to take out Ubuntu. Now my problem is Disk mode, still sees two windows Boot Up, and each one takes me to a screen where it says GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB, I have no idea what is happening but I cannot get into Windows XP.

I hope I explained everything clearly to get this resolve fast, thank you

You said a lot but none of it really helps. How did you remove Ubuntu? There is no real uninstall for it because its an OS. Did you format the partition that Ubuntu was on or......or did you edit the GRUB menu and remove Ubuntu from the boot menu. How did you remove it? Also, is this a PC or is the a Mac with Boot Camp, or is this a Virtal Machine like VMware or Parrallels?

    I formated Ubuntu Drive,
Mac Pro, so I created a partition on my Windows XP hard drive,
I did not use VMware or parallels.
I did not touch GRUB nor do I know how to remove it.

    Thanks for helping.

    Erm...

It might be worth a shot to boot from the Windows XP cd and see if it offers to repair the bootloader?

the Grub files and configs would have been located on the Linux partition. I had this problem too. Boot your winxp cd and look around for something to repair the bootloader.

This is a Mac that you had triple booting -- with three different icons on the bootloader screen -- with Windows, Ubuntu, and Tiger, right? I think that means you had rEFIt installed in order to give you the three-way menu. Did you remove rEFIt?

Yes, hard drive 1 is Mac os hard drive 2 is Windows and Ubuntu

Basically I did install refit but it gives me two Ubuntu Icons while boot loader. Thats my problem, but now that I remember I did install ubuntu only to not complete it(First Attempt). Could it pick up even though I never completed installation?

Ok, I can't understand your #2. You have two linux options and one XP, but all send you to Linux? Or when you choose your second Ubuntu option you get sent to Windows XP? If its just when you choose one and it sends you to the wrong OS, then you just need to fix your Grub setup. I suggest you boot into linux and update your grub file to be correct. Located here:/boot/grub/grub.conf. Its a text file that you can edit with a text editor or Ubuntu should have some GUI tool to edit it and remove the messed up entries.

No it shows two Linux, and then Windows XP.

And choosing either Ubuntu or Windows XP it will still send me to Ubuntu from there I choose from ubuntu or windows.

I have no idea how to totally remove Grub since I erased the Ubuntu. I just want to do is clean out all traces of Linux to just start fresh.

    Update

Ok I figured out the problem, after running Windows XP to reset MBR. The GRUB is actually installed or showing up with the Mac OS X hard drive, so how can I remove it? Windows Hard drive is now Linux free.

    Thank you
