comcast did just increase caps to 1TB. But yeah, they're still evil.

Take solace because Cox and Time Warner are experimenting with data caps! When I was in northern Virgina two years ago Cox NVA had a 350g cap that wasn't yet inforced! You had to dig deep into their support site but if you log into the web site and dug you could get to the data counter site! One month after cutting the cable (I was turning off TV because I was in a slow process of moving) my streaming caused me to go very close to the cap and they sent me an email telling my me I was close! Luckily it was two days before the turn off the month so the flat antenna could do!
 
I'm good though, we have frontier and no data caps! I've downloaded well over a terabyte in a month regularly and not a peep from them.
 
we've used 180GB since (1) cutting the cord and (2) switching to TW cable (we had Verizon but our internet was slower than a snail!)

That 180GB is since april 15... so about 3 weeks!
