Just for an FYI Verizon wireless has AirPods also

Thanks! I was getting tired of waiting for my Best Buy order to ship. I guess I will return whichever pair arrives late.

By the way, where do you see that they're "shipping today"? I couldn't find that wording anywhere on their site.
 
I just purchased on the verizon website and paid for overnight shipping (12.99) The site stated I will be receiving them tues 12/20 by 8pm...we shall see
 
Just ordered the airpods on the VZW website. Orders placed before 8PM EST are shipped the same day. Mine are scheduled to arrive on the 22nd.

After about 10–15 minutes, my "Check Order Status" page updated to show an expected ship date of 12/19/2016.

Same here, mine just says "processing".
 
No, regular free shipping was selected. Few minutes after placing order you can go to check status. There will be few details including anticipated ship date. My brother works for vzw, couldn't pass up the 35% off employee discount.

Just placed an order. Verizon site seems to be slammed now with issues trying to access order history.
 
Mine updated saying it'll ship today as well, and my credit card was charged. We'll see!
