Seems more like an advert for d-brand.

Never used either but wasn't it d-brand that had that competition you entered by spending over $60 to win $60K and the winner was a friend of the owner?

A robbed consumer warning other consumers not to get robbed. Not exactly "crazy mode."

I've read plenty of bad stories about dbrand that portrays them in a negative way but I have yet to face that kind of issue myself. Just like how I'm sure there are a lot more people who haven't had an issue with Slickwrap customer service. It still doesn't give me the right to just outright call them thieves, scammers and everything bad.

My $.02 on Slickwraps the company. In the fall off 2015 I was considering a Slickwraps for the back of my iPhone 6+. I didn't want any coverage for the front. There was an option to buy the back only. Then Slickwraps had a Black Friday sale. Once the sale started, the option to buy the back only, disappeared. There was a Black Friday deals thread going on here where the Slickwraps rep was actively posting. When I brought up the fact that I couldn't buy a back only for the discounted price, he totally ignored my post. He posted before my post and after my post but never addressed my post. After the sale was over, what do you know, the option to buy the back only was back. When I told this in another thread where he was posting, he claimed he wasn't aware of the problem ordering the back only. That was the end of me ever considering buying anything from Slickwraps.

Wish I had done wet install; didn't turn out as good as I'd liked BUT fits perfect with Rhinoshield bumper.

I remember that. I read that thread. Too bad that they've actually gotten worse instead of better. There customer service and shipping has always been bad and slow but this time takes the cake!

And to blatently refuse to cancel a 3.5 week old order???? Not only is that crappy customer service, it's a violation of the FTC rules!

Ship Dates
  • By law, a seller should ship your order within the time stated in its ads or over the phone. If the seller doesn’t promise a time, you can expect it to ship your order within 30 days.
  • The shipment “clock” begins when the seller receives a “properly completed order.” That includes your name, address and payment (check, money order or authorization to charge an existing credit account — whether the account is charged at that time or not).
  • If the seller doesn’t promise a shipping time, and you are applying for credit to pay for your purchase, the seller has an additional 20 days (50 days total) to establish the account and ship the merchandise.
Delays
If the seller is unable to ship within the promised time, it must notify you, give a revised shipping date and give you the chance to cancel for a full refund or accept the new shipping date. The seller also must give you some way to exercise the cancellation option for free — for example, by supplying a prepaid reply card or staffing a toll-free telephone number.

  • If you don’t respond — and the delay is 30 days or less — it’s assumed that you accept the delay and are willing to wait for the merchandise.
  • If you don’t respond — and the delay is more than 30 days — the order must be canceled by the 30th day of the delay period and a full refund issued promptly.
If the seller can’t meet the revised shipping date, it must notify you again by mail, email or telephone and give you a new shipping date or cancel your order and give you a refund.

  • The order should be canceled and a refund issued promptly unless you indicate by the revised shipping date that you are willing to wait.
  • If you don’t respond to the second notice, the seller should assume that you are not willing to wait issue a full refund promptly.
They never gave an alternate date of shipping (their site claims 1-2 days). I NEVER agreed to waiting more time and I asked for the order to be cancelled NUMEROUS times!

"Funny" thing. Last night.... 3 1/2 weeks after the order was placed... they finally gave the package to the post office EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM I WANTED IT CANCELLED!

Game playing scammers. And yes... they do deserve to be called that!

I just want to make sure customers know that they will be dealing with since Slickwraps is so scummy and deletes anything on their FB page relating to non response to emails and not shipping their product within the specified time.

Just doing the public a service!

Not that I'm defending slickwraps but how far do you plan to go with dissing them? It seems whenever they are mentioned anywhere in the forum you go full on crazy mode

Come on dude. What does that have to do with what’s right and wrong. Guess what he can’t go in full crazy mode if they are on point. It’s like you blaming him for blaming dbrand. . Huh?

I have used Slickwraps in the past and they were great. If they are shipping really slow and not giving any kind of accurate time frame that is wrong.
