The AT&T unlimited does not allow tether. The Verizon unlimited plan does (at least on the iPad it does).

Hmmm, didn't know Verizon has an unlimited plan for the iPad!

How much does it cost?

Or should I look it up myself? :)

It is the now discontinued Verizon unlimited plan for LTE phones. If you have that, just take the SIM card out of your phone and put it into your LTE iPad. There is a thread on it here from sometime back.
