The manager at the AT&T store near my home stated they are only getting approx 20 phones. I live in Fort Worth Texas. Their selling hours are from 6pm till 10pm. If the phones are not in stock they will be filling orders to be shipped to your home during the remaining store hours.

Dude that is where I live. Don't say stuff like that.

I just got back from my AT&T store and the manager stated are you here to w8...IM like nope not yet but wanting to see what is in store...She couldnt comment of coarse but stated they think maybe 20-30 phones at best...I stated, "Why stay open till 10 then." She stated we will be taking fill orders to have them shipped to the persons house. She said that would take anywhere from 1-2 wks. Im like hell to the no.....

So I guess I might be w8ing all night...Who knows yet...Im going to drive by the store at 10 just to see tonight...I will be furious If Im 21th in line and they are sold out...No wonder riots take place

I too just got back from a at&t store a few minutes ago, the guy working on my phone told me theirs was still in the back with chains wrapped around them. closing at 4:30 is so they can unpack,prepare, and setup.

they will not be activiting them at the stores, he told me they are just selling them and you activite online only.

there will be 1 police man at his store, he mentioned.

I asked about campers, he said there were rumors but he hasn't seen anything yet.

I believe some stores are telling people they are getting only 20 iPhones, but I don't believe it for a couple of reasons.

1-At&T and hired 2000+ people for launch, hired security guards/police for crowd control only to be sold out by 6:30? Makes no sense at all. Plus these stores are staying open until 10(somebody said to take orders in the store to be delivered in 1-2 weeks? Nothing has ever been said about this before) If come 6:30 the manager comes out to the line ans says "We are sold out" People will leave to try and get one at a different store or will end up ordering from Apple.com(and get there phone in a few days and not weeks)

2-Tomorrow is going to be the single highest sales day for the iPhone. I cannot see Apple making the mistake on letting customers leave tomorrow(giving them time to ponder their decision to purchase a $500+ cell phone) and run the risk on never getting the sale.

I think if you want one, you will be able to get one tomorrow.
