Hey guys, my iMac just arrived
, and I'm loving it to bits.
Anyway... I cant access the net with it. Heres the gist of things:
We have two main networks, network a) is just a ADSL router with one computer going into it, an Xbox (now using cable for my Mac) and another cable going into network b) which has a server, and two PC's and a wireless router
I am not allowed to access network b) due to the server, which is fair enough as its for our home buisness.
The computer going into network a) is running windows 2000.
I go into safari, open network thingo from there, then it runs thru a test and cant do anything, then it asks if this computer has been on the net before so I click no. Then it goes into the network ap. I've tried using two methods, going through a LAN, and going through a DSL Modem/router.
I use the settings thats on this Win 2000 machine on Network a) and I have no luck.
Also, we have a static IP.
So please help a Mac n00b
.
EDIT: Yes there is communication going from the router to the Mac according to the flashy lights on the router.
