Since you ran out of money

here are a few tips:
1. Dropbox. Free and insanely useful, particularly with the Ipad's lack of a native file management system. It is such a joy to work on something on my desktop, save to my dropbox folder and have the doc magically appears on my Ipad, Iphone, and other computers. DB also plays well with most of the other productivity tools I use such as Goodreader and noterize. Again, just awesome to be taking notes at a client with Noterize, save to dropox, and have the doc appear on any of my computers.
2. Pages. At 9.99 I'd think twice about this unless you are going to be doing some serious word editing. It's a fine app, but doesn't sync with DP and many other non-Apple services. (If you have a paid mobile me account you're cool). I have Pages but barely use it because of this shortcoming. There are others out there (search for the term office in Apps).
3. Find your phone. With a free version of Mobile me, this service from Apple (not really an app) allows you to locate your Ipad, lock it remotely, and wipe it remotely. Take it from someone who had his Ipad ripped off - you want this today.
4. News. NYTime, NPR, BBC, and USA Today all have really great free apps. They all use different formats but far exceed the website experience. Flipboard and Pulse are great ways to extract news from your Google Reader, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. I use both but try Flipboard first. It will blow you away - It's free so just try it.
5. ComicX and Marvel. If you are not into comic books, skip this. But if you are there is tons of free content.
6. Ibook, Kindle, Nook. I'll skip the arguments over which service is best. They all have merits and all have tons of free books. (I much prefer Ibooks format but it's paid selections is spotty to be generous).
