I really wanted to buy the old rose gold MacBook but 12 inch looks too small for me. I got a space grey MacBook Pro today and was wondering if there's any way I can get a custom paint job for the rose gold color on this Mac? I looked in ColorWare but they don't really have the option. thank uu

Found this through google (so do your research). They do gold rose plating..they seem to do anodizing with other colors.

I don't think its worth it and other paints may affect the thermals. There maybe other places that do anodizing which is the process that Apple uses. Probably expensive too.

Paint doesn't adhere to anodized aluminum very well. It will eventually start to chip and flake, making the whole device unsightly.

Did you look at the MacBook Air, which comes in a Gold color?

Try going to a window tinting shop for cars. Some have this new technology where they wrap cars in different colors maintaining the integrity of the space gray your MBP came with. Maybe, someone at the tint shop will do it for you.
