Just got my 13" MBP. Is there anything that I should do before proceeding?

Updates, yup. Else just use it normally.

Turn it on, setup user account, run software update.

The batteries now come pre-calibrated straight out of the box, just use it and don't overthink it.

1. Install all updates to the OS.
2. Install all major software and browser add ons (office/iwork, ilife, firefox, flash, shockwave, java, downloadthemall, flash block, adblock plus etc.)
