This looks like a good place to admit to be on the verge of buying an iMac G3 (DV+ - ~2000) for £20... It seems a good deal and the machine is absolutely spotless.

I have two G3 iMacs , 500Mhz 256mbRAM & 400Mhz1Gb RAM, ( both tiger)great machines.
neither will run Nicecast well though :(

OMG you have a dead LISA!! I have always wanted one of those!

What is the matter with it?

Are you handy with a soldering iron?

no I'm terrible with a soldering iron and dreadful at repairs. I got it for $40 at a garage sale. it switches on but nothing happens. I haven't got any disks for it, no idea where to start really.

it looks nice though.

hmm...this is going to be quite a project then, youre gonna have to just do some research on google, im sure if it powers on all it needs is startup disks, which you might be able to find on ebay. if not then youve still got a part of apple history:)

there's a guy selling a running Lisa on ebay for $10,200! the guy has to be on drugs....

I've got one that starts up but doesn't have any software. it cost me $40.

I don't think the software/maintenance/repair is worth $10,160

do you?

I'd pay $1000-1500 for a running one. I'm all for nostalgia, but this guy's dreaming.

yeah you're probably right. maybe if he waits 20 years and its still running... could be worth even more
