just got my macbook and...

    ok so i made a video on imovie that is around 40 mb. i try to put it on youtube and a page comes up with some error. can i put imovie videos on youtube? if so what am i doing wrong?

    Have you exported it to a different format I would put it at CD quality unless its a really short film.

    no i havent exported it. it is ver short around 20 seconds

    You need to export it before you can upload it, Youtube wont take an imovie project.

    I'm pretty sure that You tube has a max of around 10MB. Exporting will get it well under that amount.

    No youtube has the max of 100mb

    YouTube's recommendations:

    MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
    320x240 resolution
    MP3 audio
    30 frames per second

    To achieve these settings, open your iMovie project. Go to file > export. Then select "quick time" and expert settings. Then you can change the settings to the ones listed above. :)
