After some delays in shipping I finally received my MacBook Pro and so far it is absolutely awesome! This is my first Mac so I have some stuff to learn and surely more questions to ask but I'm so happy with it so far.

After spending some more time on my new MacBook Pro, I have to say the build quality is absolutely amazing. I love the quality of the glossy screen and I also have no dead pixels or any problems with the edges on the unibody. This new design feels so sturdy and well made. I'm in the process of downloading all the cool apps macs offer, I just can't wait to learn OS X inside and out. Add me to the list of happy PC converts! :D

Just got mine Saturday, and I agree, mine's absolutely perfect and I love it. I'm in the midst of getting some Apps too, but the only thing I've added so far is a scientific calc and a chat program. This thing is such a beauty, everyday when I use it I'm in love with it. I used to loathe having to boot up my computer and fight it to do things, I forgot how quick simple tasks should be.
As for the April Fools Day bug tomorrow, I'm smiling knowing I won't have to worry

If I may join the lovefest, I just got my refurbed 15" macbook pro last week. Completely indistinguishable from new*. I wasn't completely surprised, given my mac pro is a refurb and also looked brand spanking new.

Congrats, Collin. I'm SuperDuper-ing mine as we speak (typing this on the iMac).

James

*indistinguishable except that extra $300 I had left over, which went towards upgrading the hard drive {500 gig} and the ram {4 gig} - all from OWC.

Me Too!!!

I just got mine today also. My first mac and I'm still trying to set up but I'm loving it. I don't know what to do first. I feel like a kid again.

Agreed! It's so overwhelming because it's so easy to use and there's so much stuff to add on. It was the same way with my iPhone haha

Apps

which apps are you getting?

I'm just going through some posts on the boards and top 100 apps lists. I've just always found them to be so much more interesting. I'm getting the necessary ones like adium, coconutBattery, handbreak, transmission, istat, vlc. I have quite the list so far and plenty more to come I'm sure. Any one's I'm missing?
