Actually the Vega drains less and causes less heat than the 560x. Already proven it is a more efficient gpu.

Wow, thanks, I assumed it would consume more. Somehow I also thought it was the 555X, which may still consume more. Nevertheless, @IdentityCrisis, still think it’s worth the hassle of a return for the OP’s use?

Interesting, that coupon don’t work tho at Adorama. It says, can’t be applied. I tried to see what it would do for me.

This i7, 16gb, 512SSD with Vega 20 is 3150.00, no coupon. I’m getting crazy with this crap now lol. I should have just gotten the standard I7,16GB,512SSD for 2499 on sale. I just thought I was doing the right thing by adding the ram only to find out, it’s prolly a waste of money and should have gotten the Vega series GPU card.

I’m out of energy sending stuff back ECT... lol I’ll now know, for next time!

It was only for a short time. They have them from time to time again. Keep an eye out on their youtube videos when they announce it again.

Depends. Do you need a heavy GPU for what you do? If so, the difference with the new GPU is much better over the 560x. I personally ordered mine with it because I do play some games sometimes, and want the best GPU I can get without having to use a EGPU. I still plan to get a egpu, but not right now. I have to recover from the $5200 I just spent on this. lol

5200? That’s just too much money for me at least for this one MBP I’m like you tho, want to get the best you can once. I know you have dam solid machine tho. I never have played a game on a computer. I do however use photoshop and Lightroom for my photography. Thing is, I have been using an old 17” from 2011 without any problems. This new MBP is like lightning compared to that LOL.

I also, have a 2015 iMac that I do most of my work on because of the big screen. Can I even add an EGPU to an late 2015 iMac? This MBP is more of laptop to have Incase I feel like using it for this. Again, I also have this iPad Pro I can I use as well.

Yeah, figured if I am spending this amount of money, I am going to get it all. The only thing I passed on was the 4tb and got 2tb. It is a massive jump from 2 to 4 and I thought that was crazy. I am unsure on the iMAC if you can. If it has any thunderbolt ports like thunderbolt 2, you can, you won't see the huge gains of TB3 though, but it should still be an improvement.

$5200 was more than what my Camry cost 5 years ago when I got it for $2800. It still going strong though! :p
