But it’s so damn beautiful. Upgraded from an iPhone 7 and originally intended to order the XR, but after seeing this screen in the Verizon store, I was sold.

I’m going to use the XS Max through the weekend to see if I can adjust, if not, I’ll swap it out for the XS. But I love the OLED screen and I really like True Tone. It’s easy on my eyes.

Oh yes!! I love my phone! So much better than the 7

I returned mine and got the XS because of the weight. I've had a plus for the last two revisions so I'm used to the size, but the weight tipped me over the edge. I couldn't be happier with the XS, zero issues with going to the smaller screen.

I didn't have an expectation, but my comment was more of an observation.

I feel the same way, probably the only issue im having with my max. I guess coming from the X its a big difference in my opinion. I guess ill give it a couple more days.

I'm going to use it through the weekend and decide which way to go. There is a twist (no pun intended), I was putting on a case and twisted the phone ever so slightly and noticed there's a creaking or cracking sound coming from the side of the display near the sim tray. Ironically, it also came out of the box with a scratch next to the power button. I will be returning it, but how I feel about using the larger phone will determine if I exchange it for another XS MAX, or the smaller XS. I'm leaning toward the Max though, the display is beautiful.

If you’re coming from the iPhone 7 and upgrading to iPhone XS Max, it obviously will have a natural weight ratio difference until you adjust to it. But you have to ask yourself, is the upgrade worth it in terms of the technology offered in a larger form factor? And if it’s not, then I would opt for the 5.8 Xs.
