I couldn't find any Screen Protector that wrapped around the Edge so I didn't bother but after owning my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge for less than a month, there was a hairline scratch on it. The seller didn't mind but my point is ANY phone regardless what companies claim WILL get scratch.

I thought the whole of the front was covered with glass, so how can you get a black scratch? Is the scratch full of paint or dirt?
I "made it look" black so you guys can see it. I was "playing" with the light.
If you look at the phone in a normal angle / viewing distance you can't see it.
Here is another photo.
When I look at that closely, it is more like a hairline crack to me.
It's not a cracked. Just a very deep scratch.
My mom shattered her old iPhone (also with a white bezel) so I know how a crack looks, small or big :)

Sorry for the low quality pics (iPad Air 2)

OP if you don't want a case and don't want a screen protector, not even glass, you might want to consider Skinomi skins.

Personally, I would pay according to the condition of the device. A scratched up device is worth less. That's very simple.

I'll just take a price hit. I'll just consider the extra $50 I would have gotten as the price of using it naked. Btw, cases and screen protectors would eat into that $50 anyway...

What you could do is before warranty expires, try to get your phone replaced for a replacement unit and sell it then. You might get a bit more value then having to advertise it as a scratch on screen. Just a thought.

Okay thanks for the pic. So I stand corrected.

I'm sorry but for me, a scratched up phone would be worth a lot less than just 50 bucks off. I don't feel that's a reasonable expectation.

I was thinking that. There can be a $50 discrepancy between two mint condition phones. The OP said that he didn't mind scratches to the casing and is prepared to take a $50 hit for screen scratches. Personally I wouldn't even entertain buying a phone with any noticeable scratches, front or rear. Even if it was $100 cheaper. If it had substantial scratching then I doubt anyone would be interested unless it was dirt cheap. There are so many used iPhones about that people can afford to be picky.

I've never used a screen protector with any of my iPhones, and I don't have scratches, even when examining closely under bright light.

I have to say, I find this *highly* impossible. I was the same way, I put my phone in my pocket with nothing else, nothing ever goes into the same pocket as my phone. Lo and behold, iPhone 5 has tiny micro scratches after a few weeks, iPhone 6+ and my brother iPhone 6, same thing.

They're not easy to see as with a deep or long scratch. But I guarantee you, if you look at your screen at the right angle under a light, you will see all the scratches which you think do not exist. It's unfortunate, especially since I use my phone without a case or screen protector, but I've accepted the micro scratches issue.

Clearly, I'm not very worried about re-sale value as I like to use my things as they are meant to be used. I take care of my stuff, but I'm not going to go above and beyond to protect it like it's some borrowed item that needs to be returned in mint condition.

Well dang. Is it sellable though? Like if I get scratches on my screen will someone still buy it on eBay?

I'll take less $

Buy a tempered glass screen protector. For $5 you protect your screen. If you are serious about resale-ability put it in a case. I resell a lot of phones that I buy and scratches regardless of front or back WILL impact the revenue you can maximise from the device at point of resale.

Yep...... Exactly. Doesn't matter if its front or back - scratches immediately impact value and desirability of the device.

I usually pass my old phones onto my father and don't gain any resale value, yet I still use a case and screen protector. I like to keep everything I own in as near perfect condition as I can, and that's for my benefit. Scratches & dings detract from my own enjoyment of the item and even if it's old, I gain satisfaction from it being in excellent condition. I baby my possessions and whether that's unusual or not, I do it for me and not for future owners further down the line. Practically nothing I own ever gets resold, apart from cars and houses.

I have to say, I'm so incredibly annoyed with this response. I'm sorry that you can't believe that others have a different experience than you do, but it doesn't make my experience less valid. I see what I see, and I know what I know...it's not an opinion, it's a fact. Stop trying to tell me my experience can't possibly be true...because it certainly is true.

Can someone recommend a screen protector that is super un-noticeable? And anti fingerprint at the same time?

Hence why I said "*highly* impossible" rather than saying "impossible." And sure, you see what you see, but that too is an opinion. Someone else could look at your phone and see nothing, or see micro scratches which you didn't notice. I wasn't trying to irk you, nor did I claim that I was stating facts, as you said, it is an opinion.

Lastly, for you and anyone else interested, like I said, its very difficult to see these micro scratches unless you look at the screen under the proper lighting and just the right angle. This article shows exactly what I found on mine and many of my family members iPhone 6's: http://thenextweb.com/opinion/2015/01/09/iphone-6-plus-four-months-still-best-catch/

Does the screen get scratches?
Of course. Glass isn't the hardest material out there. A harder material can scratch a softer material. Google around for examples of the Mohs Hardness Scale and note where glass falls on the scale. Even hardened glass like Gorilla Glass isn't the hardest material out there. It's just harder than normal glass.

Are you sure? On YouTube it didn't in the scratch tests.
Which specific tests? You always have to consider your sources. People do things like key tests all the time which are meaningless as keys (brass) cannot scratch glass since they are not harder than glass. There is, however, plenty of hard grit (e.g. sand, etc) out there in the real world than can scratch glass.

I don't want to use a screen protector mainly because of force touch.
A screen protector won't have any impact.

It adds weight tho
Negligible.

I mean, you don't have to use one regardless of whatever your reasons may be but you're running on a lot of mistaken assumptions. I recommend relying on experience instead. Still, your call. If you want to look into options then take look in the iPhone Accessories subforum as many screen protector options are covered there.

I've never used an iPhone completely naked. I'd like to do that with my 6s. The screen is flush with back to make 3D Touch multi task easier to access. I feel like a screen protector would hurt the experience.

listen man,
i got a tiny scratch, but one i can feel with my fingers.
i hate myself for not using any SP i could find while waiting for the one i ordered to arrive.
PUT A SP. this screen is prone to scratches, and yes it will hurt it's value.

and don't worry about inconvenience, i now have a cheap ugly SP just to be safe,
and all is working smoothly, including 3D touch.
just do it now and then decide.

I just got a space grey 6s. I really like it. Thinking about going case less.

Does the screen get scratches?

I don't care about the back get scuffs and scratches.

You don't need a screen protector unless you abuse the heck out of your iPhone. I haven't used a screen protector since the early days of smartphones when the screens were fairly soft and you had to use a stylus which often got grit caught under it and would produce huge scratches.

I've never used a screen protector on any iPhone, and never had any scratches on the screen that I could notice. I certainly don't baby my phone. I carry it in a front pants pocket and try to not put anything else in there with it. This is a phone.. not a piece of museum art.
