I recently received an email promoting that I take advantage of an edu discount one last time. I bought via edu discount three years ago. They don't know that I've just finished my Masters, but I'm probably on a list of edu purchasers. I say go for it. I think online orders are spot checked, so there's little risk involved.

iirc strictly speaking edu discount is good till the day of graduation.

Just buy it. Apple rarely checks your enrollment status. I bought using the edu. discount all through high school. Terrible, I know... but it worked.
