I love that auction, in particular. It's basically saying, "You absolutely need this email address to look professional. But I don't have to worry about looking professional, myself, as I can't even type out a coherent statement that is free of spelling errors." :)

Or better yet,
This is a great way to boost sales and come off as a true professional.
A professional with a Hotmail account? Yah, that's creditable.

well, nothin wrong with your listing, just those gamers are crazy. lol. I would do the same..

That is quite a smart idea, sorry to hear about eBay screwing you.. I don't get it, why do they give a crap, you didn't do anything illegal by doing so, it is the bidder's own decision to waste their money... It isn't eBay's prerogative to be everyone's Mother and tell them what not to buy (if it is legal that is :p )

pseudobrit. Think about what you're saying. Why would someone program a bot to bid it up when the bid's are tied to their account? Maybe you mean snipes, but snipes are intentional. Snipes are bots, but they are programmed by people who want an item bad enough without attending to the computer.

The internets be full of bots that do odd things. For instance, I could have a bot use one account to find and bid on a hot item (say, oh, a PS3 for instance) that's freshly listed and another account to shill bid that item way past the going rate. Then the high bid gets retracted last second and the entry level bid wins.

Or do you really think someone is stupid enough to pay $1500 for a crappy free Yahoo! account? You may have been watching too many late night get-rich-quick infomercials.

Or you're not telling us the whole story here.

Ebay...you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy....

...or am I thinking of a Star Wars quote?

[extreme cynicism]

I hate Ebay. Nobody "earns" money on ebay, any more than bookies or pimps "earn" money. I'd like to find the people who created Ebay and beat them to death with a tickle-me-Elmo doll, stuff Virgin Mary grilled cheese sandwiches down their throats and burn their corpses on a pyre made of beanie babies and PS3s:mad:

I'm an archaeologist, and in my experience the number of stolen and looted artifacts being sold on ebay is simply disgusting...

The people running ebay know that thousands of stolen items are sold on ebay every day but they will not do anything about it.

Pure fracking greed.
