I just got off the phone with Developer support and they said i cannot go back to 4.3. is this true?

Yes, every link/story to iOS 5 that I have seen has had a big warning that downgrading is not possible from iOS 5.

No, it's not true. Put the device into DFU mode and the restore to 4.3.3 will work just fine.

I was just going by Apples own statements:
“Devices updated to iOS 5 beta can not be restored to earlier versions of iOS. Devices will be able to upgrade to future beta releases and the final iOS 5 software.”

But as 4.3.3 is still signed it does stand to reason a DFU restore should work.

Yes you can, I just did it a couple of days ago. I already had iOS 4.3.3 downloaded. With the latest beta version of iTunes on windows I held down shift and hit restore, pointed to my download of 4.3.3 and the rest was history. No dfu mode or anything.
