I just got off the phone with Developer support and they said i cannot go back to 4.3. is this true?
Yes, every link/story to iOS 5 that I have seen has had a big warning that downgrading is not possible from iOS 5.
No, it's not true. Put the device into DFU mode and the restore to 4.3.3 will work just fine.
I was just going by Apples own statements:
But as 4.3.3 is still signed it does stand to reason a DFU restore should work.
Yes you can, I just did it a couple of days ago. I already had iOS 4.3.3 downloaded. With the latest beta version of iTunes on windows I held down shift and hit restore, pointed to my download of 4.3.3 and the rest was history. No dfu mode or anything.
Ive restored to 4.3.3.. No issue whatsoever.
Good luck to the OP.
I also downgraded from iOS 5 to 4.3.3 works flawlessly, DFU/restore/JB
Did you restore from a backup made while on iOS 5 or iOS 4.3.3?
