Hello all,
I just bought a 20" monitor for my MBA 11. I use my Air mainly at home and I heard so many people use it with an external display so I figured I'd get one. It is an Asus with a 1600x900 resolution; good for the Air do you guys think?

I have an external monitor for my rMBP and I think its a great choice. While I love the display and size of my rMBP, having an external monitor just extends the power and flexibility of my machine :D

Congrats and enjoy

Why would you ask whether it is a good choice _after_ you purchased it? You should have asked _before_.

If you use the MBA a lot at your desk then buying an external monitor is a good idea. There is a huge range of sizes, prices, and qualities available. The MBA can handle anything up to 2560 x 1600 pixels. What you should buy depends on the amount of space on your desk, the money you are willing to spend, how much screen space you want, your eyesight, and also what you are using it for.

A 21.5" IPS panel monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 would have been better.
