Just ordered a chip to upgrade to 6 core hopefully 🙂 I have a 5,1 2010 Mac Pro. I see some people had to de-lid the chip and some didn’t. Do I have to for mine? 😉

No, 4.1 with dual CPU is the only machine where delidded processors are used.
