Hey AltecXP which drive do you like more your OWC or Force 3?? Which would you recommend? im lookin at gettin a SATA III SSD really soon...thinkin OWC 120GB 6G

My OWC is a SATAII so its not completely an apples to apples comparison. My OWC has served me will with no problems. Someone posted a AJA benchmark for their OWC 6G and it was essentially identical to my Force 3. If you want to save the money you should be completely happy with the Force 3 Its not the fastest out there, but @ its price point its kind of hard to argue against.

For all the dudes in this thread that ordered the Force Series 3 from Newegg, call Newegg up and give them promo code HARDOCPX6X1A and tell them that it is $25 off. They send you a $25 gift card or credit it back to your Credit Card.

I just did it. W00T!
There is also a $30 rebate from corsair on these drive. Look it up.

I could not find the rebate on their site. Would you have a copy of it or a direct link. BTW I just ordered this morning (they were in stock for a short period) and then went to newegg online chat and said I had a coupon code and they honored it... pretty sweet!

I finally got a full run out of it. I do most my work at night in a dim room so my KB is typically on notch 1-2 and my LCD on 2-4 range. I have bluetooth off and wifi on.. I had Mail, Adium and Safari open.

She managed 7:04

That sounds about right. 11 Hours would have been insane. I never have my screen brightness below full, and while lisetning to music I get about 6hrs

I think it's time for everyone that ordered the Corsair Force 3 120GB to ship it back for replacement. They're doing a recall.

"We have stopped shipments of the affected drive, Corsair part number CSSD-F120GB3-BK, effective immediately and have implemented the following remediation plan:

(1) ALL users should cease using the CSSD-F120GBG3-BK drive immediately, even if you have not experienced issues of stability. "

Mother FFFFFFFFFFF!!! I'll submit mine tonight. v.v

aaaaaand that's why I recommend Intel SSD.

Quality and reliability are second to none. No, they're not the absolute fastest, but they're still extremely fast...and you're less likely to have to deal with incompatibilities and recalls.

whoops, forgot to mention this issue is only for the 120GB, seems like the 240GB works fine.

My drive works fine. I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW.

They better advance-RMA this or I will flip ***** on their customer service manager.

Nothing yet. I'm sure they're VERY backed up.

I'm on the phone with them now. On hold actually. I got my RMA number but dang it I don't wanna be laptop-less for 5 days. I already sold my original SSD so I can't move back to that.

The guy on the phone just told me they DON'T do advanced RMA. Gonna call and get someone less dumb.

Got a smart guy, and asked for us to call Tuesday as the drives won't be available till then, so they don't have a part number to set up in the system.
