i agree with the other posts; it's not worth it. (unless the $300 really just doesn't mean anything to you)

Think about it this way. The difference in price between the two computers in 1 year will be less than 100 dollars. That is because the processor may be worth more now but it is not actually worth that much in speed. If you are thinking about an investment and the possible resale value, it is nothing and a bad investment. The whole laptop will depreciate in value but the actual chip itself will not only depreciate but it will depreciate at a much higher rate. The loss of money will be a incredible amount on that minor upgrade that costs an arm and a leg
