Well I have noticed that I needed more ram. Currently I have 2 GB of ram, but I was running low many times during the day while I have several apps open (DW, PS, etc....) at the same time.

    I just ordered these:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820208323

I ordered 2 of them for a total of 4 GB of ram.

    Are these ok?

They should be, the spec is right. Make sure you can return them without cost if they don't work.

I generally recommend going with an reputable Apple-aware seller, though, and one that does not have a restocking charge policy if you have working, but incompatible, product delivered.

I agree: they should work (specs are right, positive reviews from MBP owners). There's always a little risk when going with something that's not Apple certified, but no restocking from newegg is nice. Be aware that your system will run a little hotter now...

    It works

I purchased the same RAM for my Al 24" iMac. It works fine, no problems at all.

2nd here... just got them on Wednesday and they are excellent in the iMac.
Great deal too, they use Micron chips. :)
