Hi,

Decided to upgrade my 2011 i7 MBA with a new laptop. Checked out the 13" rMBP and walked out of the Apple store with one.

They had the i7/512GB version in Broadway NYC store. $2699 is hefty and I'm still undecided whether I should keep it or not. Really love the 1680x1050 resolution and the form factor of this laptop.

The screen does have some light bleeding on the lower left corner. It's not that bad, but I'm afraid that i'll get a worse screen if i ever demand a replacement. What do you all think?

Ouch. I have a I7 MBA 13" 2011. No way I could drop that kind of coin on a replacement. I'll have to wait on some spec bumps or price reductions. My 2011 MBA isn't all that bad. You got the SSD size I'd like though. Adds to the price big time. Enjoy that thing!

For that price you could have had a 15" model with 16GB RAM if you could do with the 256GB SSD, well actually that would be $200 less.

If you can't do without a 512GB SSD that's still only $100 shy of the exact same config in a 15" model.

The only thing about the 13" Retina that is "amazing" is the price, which is an astonishing RIPOFF.
