iPod touch Just preordered!

I just preordered the 5th gen, black 32gb iPod touch, with my name engraved. The only other thing I got was AppleCare.

Did you order one? What did you get to go with it?

EDIT: After thinking about, I have enough music I decided to go with the 64gb :)

Me too! I went for the 5G red 64gb iPod touch, ordered from MacMall.com to save $5 discount and $36 sales tax. I'm not in a super hurry and MacMall ships pretty fast (whenever this item is actually released). Besides, I couldn't (and still can't) get into the Apple Store since midnight PST tonight.

i agree with this statement...Tim Cook, being the master of supply chains must have predicted this and thus delayed the availability of ipt 5g in order to better accomodate their iPhone...
 
I bought the 64GB in pink. The only accessory I bought was the adapter. I plan to get a screen protector before it ships . . . sometime in Oct. :D

I searched for the adapter on Amazon and didn't find it. You ordered the adapters there too?
 
Just ordered my first ipod ever, a 5th gen Touch. I used a Sony Ericsson as my music player before getting an iphone 3 some years back.

Got a white (silver?) 32GB from MacMall. No engraving just in case I need to return it. They tell you this in the 'return policy' screen but forget to tell you on the engraving screen. Caveat emptor.

I lost my 4s three months ago and couldn't stomach the full replacement cost of $650.

Overall I think it will be comparable to my old iphone. Looking forward to bigger screen/slimmer design, ios6, faster processor, updated connector, panorama pictures, new itunes and getting reacquainted with Siri and my apps. Not too sure about the lanyard or new colors.

Looking forward to my new apple product. Hopefully will not have iphone remorse, but I have lived without it for a while now so this will only be an advancement.

Do they tax AppleCare? That shouldn't be legal. It's like a gift card, shouldnt be taxable. I know Best Buy does not Tax it's extended sercive plans.
 
Ordering a red 32GB 5th gen tomorrow. I also am getting a black loop, 30 pin to 8 pin (or 9, cant remember), and my name and address engraved so that if it ever gets stolen and i know who has it, there is evidence that it is mine. Can't wait till October so I can brag to people at my school that I have it. And also because my 4th gen shattered when I dropped it, can't hold my data (8GB), and is sluggish on iOS 5 and 6 beta.
 
I still dont get it??? I had a touch a generation or two back but in this day and age of mini tablets like the nexus 7 which does everything my ipad 3 does sometimes better and certainly everything a touch does and less costly the touch seems well out of touch and definitely way overpriced.

The iPad and Nexus can't fit in your pocket. Why is this so hard to understand?

Yep, your Nexus 7 and iPad 3 fits very well in your pocket.

I keep mine in the opposite pocket from my MacBook Air.
