All the icons are question marks and everything seems to be only for newer versions. Everything in my purchased tab is telling me I need 10.12 or highter.

So question. Where do I find software for this old beast now?

you cant
apple does not support anything after El Capitan (maybe mavericks or Yosmite)
my mountain lion MacBook air won't run anything apple but iTunes and Apple website on safari.
even iCloud wont let me log in to mail without STMP annoyances.
everything worked in 2020 .
You could get El Captian on that (i think) and run most iCloud and app store program and sync iPads, etc.

hope this helped.

How would I get El Capitan on it?

Also is there a repository out there that I could get software compatible with Lion?

the apple website still has el cap available
you could use a usb thumb drive and make a bootable drive.

i hear you about apple not supporting their older items, such a shame!

There's also g00gle. I have 97 apps installed on Lion that didn't require the app store to get them.

Cheers

Nice, I'm still looking for a gui based mail client that can do tls1_2 in snowleopard. Neomutt is rough. Eclipse (last java 1.6 version) hopped on today. I'm just happy audacity and wireshark maintain archives.
