iPad Just purchased iPad Pro 12.9

Am I confused?
Bought my iPad Pro off of eBay, 1 TB LTE for $1,249, brand new still can purchase apple care plus.

For the video / photography editing alone, to have 1 TB of SSD storage in something that is portable like this, I am not sure of any other ’computers’ or ‘tablets’ you would find that value.

Even the surface pro you’re only given 128 or 256gb of storage.

Value is a subjective thing. As long as you find value in it that’s all that matters. Everyone’s workflows are different; even if one is merely evaluating video editing for example each of us may have different sources, different feature requirements in a video app and different output format needs.

Usb c is quick enough. Not sure about the ram. Just hope this lasts me 3-4 years.

Should be fine for 4 years. I run Apple laptops for 6+ years -- albeit with battery replacements. iPads should run at least 4 years. But sometimes it's best to sell and upgrade before its time has come simply because of the resell value. I got a good price for iPad Air 2 that way, but if I held onto it for a little longer I would have gotten so much less.

Congrats on the purchase! Charging this iPad appears to charge a lot quicker than the 10.5 Pro I had before. OP, where did you find this deal? I managed to get a great deal myself. Cellular 256 GB 11” for $804. Definitely a great deal to me. Walmart app is where I found the deal. Price is higher now. Bought online and had it sent to my local store for pickup.

OP, how much is Apple Care for you, monthly? Mine is $5.99 and have been thinking about getting it before the time limit is up. Can’t at all decide. Apple rep yesterday told me it renews for as long as I own the iPad so that made it more tempting as I don’t upgrade every year anymore.
