I'm coming up on my 14 days with my Max Pro and I love the screen size but at times I feel its just too cumbersome and large in my pocket. I feel like 5.8" is just too small and while I love the idea of the 6.1" size, I do not want a sub 1080 display. I take the bus to work and watch content and coming from a XR I love the clarity and crispness of the Max Pro. It sucks that you have to take a step back to get the right size device. Talk about a first world problem!

I do agree. The Max is just a bit too big and heavy as a carry around phone. Sure when your sitting and consuming it's a great little tablet but not ideal for a quick whip out of the pocket and look. That said it is a little tiring to use one handed.

Meanwhile the Pro is a little too small and narrow and really needs a tablet to compliment it.

And yes the standard 11 with its 828p resolution is not great as some can see the fuzzy text despite the calls from people saying the human eye can only see a certain resolution blah blah. If the 11 was 1080p it would be almost perfect.

I'm still on the 7 plus and really appreciate it's weight (compared to the Pro Max), non glass back, wider keyboard, 16:9 aspect ratio and 1080p display. Speakers suck though. It's not all bad living in the past!

My iphone 7 plus speakers are fine. They’re not Dolby spatial like my 11pm but they’re way better than anything that came before it like the 6s plus

Ultimately, everyone’s idea of a perfect size is different. At least there is choice, and the majority of customers can find a device they are happy with.

Maybe return the Pro Max and just give the 5.8” Pro the same test, yes it’s smaller but it’s a much easier device to live with in my eyes, not saying you’ll feel the same, but then you can always return it and get the larger one again.

I went from XR to 11 pro, perfect size imo, i also tried a max before i got the 11 pro to make sure. My wife still has a Xr so i can compare, i laugh when i read people say they see no difference ;)

I'm 59 yrs old...and love the display on my old XR and new 11. If you're young and have perfect vision...you might notice the difference...but if you're my age and wear reading glasses...the display looks very good:). Here is another way to look at it. The PPI on the iPad 11 Pro is just 264 (ie on an 11 inch LCD display)....while the PPI on the iPhone 11 is 326 (ie on a 6.1 inch LCD display). Does the sub 1080p on a 6.1 inch display really matter that much? Not to me...obviously:)

By the way...I had the same "size" issues as you mentioned. The Pro Max just felt too big...while the 5.8 inch pro felt too small. I love the 6.1 inch size of the 11.

I held the smaller sized pro in my hand before I bought the max. The 11 pro felt like a toy, something I would buy for my 10 year old niece. The max actually felt like a normal sized substantial smartphone. To each their own

I went from iPhone X to XR to 11 Pro Max. I don’t want to go as small as the 5.8” again. 6.1 is my sweet-spot I think.

I had the XR and Upgraded to the Pro Max giving my son the XR. I do not get the comments that the Pro Max is too large and heavy. I carry it on my belt not my pocket, and that could be why it works for me. There was very little difference between carrying the XR and the Pro Max.

True but while the Max is basically the same size as a Plus, the weight of the stainless steel, glass back and larger battery makes it a noticeably weighty phone especially for one handed use. And being almost all screen, and a large one, feels a little over kill for a phone - you have to work to use it which, in some situations, is fine (and a bonus) but in others a total chore.

My 7 plus maybe has an issue with its speakers? Top speaker is very quit and raspy. 3 years of heavy use and dust maybe. The 8 plus sounds alot better. They definitely don't sound any where as good as the 11 series but that's to be expected of course.
