Remember when I said that my hard dri ve kept failing? Well, I bought an SSD (a while ago) and put it into my Powerbook G4 15" Aluminum. The same problems arised after a week or two, so then I decided to get a PRAM battery. I've just installed it, and the problems keep persisting: date and time forgotten, no remembered networks, can't access the internet, HD reports being -- kb. I'm at my wit's end here, and I'm starting to panic. Should I just reinstall Leopard or something? I've zapped my PRAM again, and nothing happened. I really don't know what to do here.

The PRAM you bought could have need dead also, is your main battery good? This was the problem with mine and it seems to remember the date/time and network settings. with the KB thing, mine did that too, I deleted a file and it worked again

My main battery is fine. It's an aftermarket Chinese one though, but I do still have my stock half dead one I can switch to.

EDIT: Oh, and the deleting file method works, thanks! Internet and time still isn't working though, even when I put my mac to sleep and take it out of sleep, it forgets the remembered networks again.

Glad the delete method worked! Also what OS is the computer on? Mine had issues on leopard when the battery was dead but it worked fine in tiger

I'm probably going to just format SSD / install Leopard. Hoping this will fix the problem.

Well, reinstalling Leopard worked! My Powerbook seems to remember everything now, and internet browsing is working, too. Great!
