Just scored an iMac 1.83 core duo for 220 bucks

    How many others run these early 2006 iMac's still?

    Yep! There are still 4 Core Duo iMacs in our office. Granted, they're not the fastest things under the sun, but they're great computers and no doubt will remain great for some time yet.

    That's a seriously nice price what what you got in return. Grab some more ram for it if it's not maxed out.

    I just sold the exact same machine to upgrade. I got $480 for mine, so I would say you made quite a score. Congratulations.

    Yeah, it in perfect shape, isight works fine, has original harddrive, and has 2gb ram, Had tiger on it, wiped clean running snow leopard on it. I forgot how big the chin's are on these. The "Jay Leno" iMac. :D

    Yeah I used to own one of those 1.83 iMacs, and it's still a competent machine.

    I would have bought it again for 220.
